Rest and Rise is an online platform offering weekly morning practices designed to start your day gently, connecting to yourself and dropping into your body.

All of our online practices are accessible to everyone.

Guided by Lizzie McGhee and Noelle Harrison, Rest and Rise aims to inspire you to move through your days with intention, clarity and authentic self-expression.

Our weekly classes will also be available on live replay if you miss a session and wish to practice on a different day.

And on the last Sunday or Monday of every month, we invite you to join us for a deluxe restorative retreat each one specially created to time with the seasons.

Monday August 1st 8.30pm

Join our virtual circle where we will undertake an evening of 90 minutes of nourishing practices as we draw inspiration from the Celtic Festival of Lammas or Lughnasadh which marks the beginning of the harvest season.

Noelle will read you her specially written Lughnasadh story while Lizzie guides you through a nurturing sequence of restorative yoga. 

This is included in your membership for Rest and Rise.

Meet Your Teachers


Noelle Harrison

A lifelong practitioner of yoga, Noelle Harrison is a certified teacher of vinyasa yoga, restorative yoga, menopause yoga, and yin yoga. She currently teaches CPD in Journalling for Yoga Scotland. 

Noelle is also a bestselling author. Her novels and short stories have been translated and published in thirteen different countries. Her forthcoming novel The Girl From Across the Sea will be published by Bookouture in November 2021.

Noelle combines the breath, body, and soul through gentle movement practices, guided meditations, and journaling. Her aim is to create restful spaces, while unlocking creativity to bring about greater connectivity with the self, calm, and clarity.

Lizzie McGhee

Lizzie McGhee has been sharing her Yoga practice in the Edinburgh community, for over 4 years, having trained and initially taught in Copenhagen, Denmark. Lizzie has furthered her training through Yoga Educator, Eva Hamilton, taking her Yin Yoga and Restorative YTTs, which has allowed her to dive deeper into this introspective approach to living. 

Lizzie is also the founder and retreat host of Digital Detox Yoga Retreat Company- OFF GRID DIGITAL DETOX. Off Grid's vision is to offer the ultimate breathing space, an exquisite 'switch-off' through digital detox Yoga retreats, holding them in unique locations in rural Scotland.

Lizzie is also a passionate musician, singer and paddle boarder and believes in the power of finding your unique passions and sharing them!

Lizzie and Noelle are passionate about sharing nurturing yoga practices which bring a sense of balance, ease, and clarity into your life. 

We began Rest and Rise as we wished to create an online space for restful morning practices accessible to anyone. Simple yet reliable.

We have created our practices based on what we have found beneficial in our own lives from gentle movement, restorative yoga and yin to breath-work, meditation and journaling. 

We hope you enjoy what we offer you as guides as we look forward to holding space for you online.
